Random Tuesday....Relaxing at the Spa!!!

So much to share today!!  Whew!  Get your coffee and pull up a comfy chair!!  Ha!!  Another Random Photo Day!

Finishing my trip to Illinois...Jennifer (our niece ) took us too a really cool restaurant area called Vinegar Hill.  It was an old factory building, turned into many eating establishments.  Very cool and so authentic looking.  Here are some pics....

Jennifer pointing out the 60 inch pizza parlor!

We ate at the Dublin Pub!!  And that one place actually made 60 inch pizzas!!  Can you imagine??  Ha!!

Next stop, Illinois State Museum...

Wonderful historic exhibits.  We saw an exhibit featuring Craft and Embellishment, ie., embroidery and such.  It was a beautiful selection.

After we got home, I started to work right away on my new painting.  I will show some progress shots on Thursday.  It is going well.  Love the bold, new colors I am using.

Last Sunday, my BF Cheri took me to Ojo Calliente...a Hot Springs Spa about 2.5 hours from our house.  OMG!  It was so fabulous.  You probably heard about it.  It is the number one spot in the country for Spa's!!  And it is so unique and beautiful...here are some pics...

What a relaxing spot!!

Beautiful fountain at entrance

We had dinner and breakfast here and the food is wonderful.  For dinner we tried the Agave Margaritas.  Yum!!

Breakfast, Cheri had Smoked Salmon and bagel with cream cheese ( lox)!  Another yum!!

There are several different temperatures of springs/pools in the resort/spa!!  My favorite for heat was The Soda Pool...

Add for a cooler dip...the main pool.  I am telling you...I have never been so relaxed!  Thank you Cheri!  She treated me with this adventure for my birthday gift!!!  Wowzers!!

The sunset was amazing the other night.  We finally got some rain!!!  Hallelujah and Praise the Lord.  One whole inch!!! Storm clouds made for some amazing sights...

The the next day...the sunrise was subtle and so beautiful...

I just love it here...the sights are always so unique and amazing!!  You all have to come and visit!!!  And let me know.  Lunch will be on me!!

Next week, Madrid, New Mexico!  About 30 miles north of my house and about 45 minutes south of Santa Fe!  Quaint coal mining town now turned into art district and restaurants.  Very cool!!

My oldest granddaughter, Lisa, is coming to visit for one week.  So we will obviously be shopping and dining to our hearts' content!!  Ha!!

Ten weeks until surgery!!  Woot!!  Woot!!

Well are you Randomed out??  I am!!  Ha!  That is it from my neck of the woods.  But don't forget to stop over and visit Stacy at Stacy Uncorked to see what she is up too as well as the other Randomizers!!  We have been carrying on, Randomizing, since Keely of The UnMom is on haitus.  Though we think it is time for her to pick up where she left off!!  Ha!!

I enjoyed sharing with you and I so love your visits and comments.  They make my day!!

Have a blessed and magical day!!
Hugging you
SueAnn

If the pics weren't sooo good that they make me feel like I'm almost there, I would say they were cruel; too much awesome when you can't jump in it.

I love the fireplace, and the hammock, and the pool (oh my hot gods, the pool). You are always having too much fun, if you didn't share the experience I would probably be mad. As it is, I just adore you.

Many hugs! (I typed 'guts' first!)

Gosh, I love it when you take me along...

Vinegar Hill looks AMAZING - I love it when renovators stay true to the original style.

And Ojo Calliente - somebody else in Blogland visited it just recently...I remember seeing her pictures...who was that?...hmmm...I'll have to think about it. But it looks fab, too. I never thought I would enjoy a spa, but I'm rethinking that....
